Our expert guide will accompany you throughout the day, as you embark on a private tour of the biosphere. With the comfort of your own vehicle, you will pick the guide up in either Playa Del Carmen or Tulum and embark on a scenic 1.5-hour drive to the boat boarding point.
Sail through the heart of the Sian Ka’an biosphere for 3 hours, as you discover its picturesque fauna and flora. The snorkeling activity (if weather permit) and free time in the natural pool will leave you in awe. End your adventure with a delicious lunch at a restaurant in the charming village of Punta Allen. This will be the perfect day you won’t forget.
The payment of a 30% deposit is required to book. The rest is to be paid on the day of the tour to the guide by cash (USD, MXN, Euros).
The guide can be picked up in the morning at the Super Aki supermarket (7:30am) or at the Starbucks coffee shop (6:40am) in Playa Del Carmen (Centro Maya). These are the only two possible meeting points with the guide. Drop off for the guide is at the same place.
You will board the boat at Paso Lagartos, after a ≈1h30 drive from the biosphere entrance.
I recently took a tour of the Sian Ka’an biosphere with guide Adrian and it was an experience of a lifetime. The tour was well-organized and Adrian was a fantastic guide who knew the area inside and out. He was able to show us a variety of wildlife including dolphins, turtles, birds, and crocodiles. The snorkeling experience was also amazing and I was able to see a lot of colorful fishes. The local restaurant where we had our lunch was also very delicious and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. I would definitely take this tour again.
We had a superb tour, the organization by Pixan Ka’an was perfect (serious, reactive and flexible) and our guide Daniel was great (friendly, knowledgeable, clear and interesting). We learned and saw many beautiful things! Lunch in Punta Allen village was really good. We recommend it 1000%. The road is challenging and not very comfortable, we did it with a small Chevrolet Cavalier car. Jonathan knows the way perfectly, he reassured us from start to finish.
We had an amazing tour of Sian Kaan reserve with Adrian from Pixan Ka’an. The agency was extremely responsive and our trip was organized on short notice. The reserve was beautiful and Adrian was an exceptional guide. The meal at Punta Allen was the cherry on top!

Our day at Sian Kaan was fantastic thanks to Pixan Ka’an and our guide Jonathan. He taught us so much about the different animals that live in the reserve and we had the opportunity to see many of them during our different stops. The experience was top-notch, especially because of Jonathan’s kindness and interesting anecdotes.
