Pixan Ka’an, which means Soul of the Sky, was started by a married couple Yann M. & Melissa M. Yann and Melissa visited Sian Ka’an for the first time in 2015 and fell in love with the area. Sian Ka’an was something they had never seen before. They were amazed by all of the natural wildlife and wanted to share this beauty with others. 

They decided to open up their own tour agency in August of 2017.  Since then, they have more than 5000 satisfied customers who have enjoyed one of the most preserved and peaceful areas in the Mayan Riviera. 

Yann and Melissa, specifically choose to work with local tour guides with alot of knowledge of birds and local wildlife. They treat the biosphere like it was their own home and teach their guests how to love and respect the area. They choose to operate tours with local cooperatives that have the utmost respect for the local fauna and flora of the biosphere.
